Hello! I'm Malia Atangabua, the founder and heart behind Pink

My journey towards self-discovery and empowerment has been a profound adventure, filled with very extreme highs but very extreme lows too, and not forgetting countless lessons that have undoubtedly shaped me into the person I am today.

My desire to foster an overall sense of wellbeing started from a very early age. I’ve owned and written in several diaries/journals as it was the best way for me to better reflect on my own life and the world around me. Growing up, I often found myself seeking ways to build confidence, resilience, and leadership within myself. Making good friends and understanding some happenings in life were some of the facets of life I really struggled to understand.  These qualities became my guiding stars, helping me navigate through life's challenges and embrace its opportunities. They are the very essence of what I aim to impart through Pink - unapologetically and with all my heart empowering young girls to become their best selves!

I also realize though that many girls like myself are on the threshold in life to seeing "that light we all carry". Pink was born from my deep-seated passion to empower young girls and myself in the process. I vividly remember the moments when a kind word, a helping hand, or a piece of advice from a mentor made a world of difference in my life.  Those moments also planted the seed for Pink— indeed, a platform dedicated to ensuring that every girl has access to the support and resources she needs to thrive. Through our programs, we inspire confidence by encouraging girls to believe in themselves and their abilities. We foster resilience by teaching them to view setbacks as stepping stones to success. And we nurture leadership skills, helping them to realize that they have the power to make a meaningful impact on their communities and the world at large.

On a personal note, my journey hasn't always been smooth. In actual fact, it is still very rough. There have been times of doubt and fear, but these experiences have only strengthened my resolve and still does. They have taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of surrounding oneself with a supportive community.

These lessons are at the core of Pink. I am deeply committed to creating an environment where young girls can grow, learn, and become the best versions of themselves. Pink is not just a platform; it's a movement, a community, and a safe haven where girls can explore their potential and shine brightly. Every girl deserves to dream big, pursue her passions, and leave her mark on the world.

I believe in a future where every girl is confident, resilient, and a true leader in her own right. Join me on this incredible journey of empowerment and self-discovery.
